I think it works like that for 960
You have a randomized position while your opponent has the normal starting position. In 960, both players have the same position, so this isn’t a legit game which is probably why.
I dont understand why I cannot castle on either side? King is on c1 sqare, was not previously moved and is not in check. When I select my king, only moves allowed are Kb1 and Kd1.
