Chess+ BUT GOOD

In classical Chess+, pawns promote at the middle of the board. This is a total scam, and ruins the fun of Chess+.

When I think of Chess+, I think of chess but at a larger scale. This means the promotion zone is at the end of the board. The endgame should be a desperate clash of pawns as they sprint to the other side of the board. However, the promotion zone at the middle of the board encourages people to just push their flank pawns get get a free queen ten moves in. This does more than ruin the endgame, it ruins the soul of chess. What is the soul of the game you ask?

I want to play chess with vibrant middlegames, where pieces are developed to control the giant center. Huge pawn dynamics clashing at the middle of the board, that break apart as soon as the endgame starts. Tactical play at a larger scale, that stretches the mind with a fourteen wide board.

For this reason, I encourage people to consider, when playing Chess+, to edit the rules so the promotion zone is on the 14th rank. This will ensure longer, and more brain-influenced games. If you're interested, hit me up sometime.
