Oops, moved in the wrong direction 😑

This’d be very interesting with angel and creationist... I rather like the depth in this game (literally!)
I'm still thinking about losing my hawk. My defense at move 2 wasn't good. I'm beginning to learn that when your opponent issues a queen flank attack I should have defended with my queen also. Maybe like 2....Q(5,9).
In any case, my inaccurate play was followed by you hanging a queen. I have a feeling if we play again we would both be better.

this is why I love infinite chess with barriers. Adds a lot of strategy, and neutralises the Naviary attack/Tugwash
Someday I might want to try a different starting position. It does bother me a bit that the king is very exposed right at the start. (Even Martin said the same thing although he doesn't play infinite). It might also be good to introduce some way to castle. I think Tug has mentioned the same thing too. Let's discuss it more early next year.
Also Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! I'm in Ohio and we got snow today!

Yes, this could avoid having moves at the beginning of the game that consist only of repositioning the pieces to defend the king's rear.
It could also give the players the opportunity to move to more strategic, positional and closed positions, because I think that in this very open configuration the games will always be restless and tactical from the very first moves. White also seems to have a rather consequent advantage since the position is dangerous from the start.
A position like that could be safer for the king i guess (this is just an example)

I like your idea placing guards and pawns behind the king and queen. But I think the knights, archbishops, and chancellors in front is more than necessary.😄 This is a good discussion, but we should discuss it in a separate thread. Feel free to visit (chess-on-an-infinite-plane-club) for any topics related to infinite chess.😀
Huh?? - I think that was a blunder.
