[Purple’s Turn 17] REMATCH: Chess with Gravity, on a normal board. (Variant 5)

But all the variants I have seen have the board rotated 90 degrees. This will be chess with gravity, except with the normal chess starting position."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"In this variant, every White piece will fall “down” (towards the 1st rank), and every Black piece will fall “up” (towards the 8th rank). It must move onto that square to capture it. Gravity takes effect at the end of that player’s turn."}]},{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"Only two pieces are immune to gravity: Pawns and Kings.
