Chu Shogi #5 KaijiAUT vs dax00

7六馬
I like the old style better. It's not that I don't like more calligraphical forms, but it's not so much my style in this case. In shogi the most beautiful style for the kanji I know, would be mina (if I remember the name correctly).

I have different responses to 6十鳳 and 8七鳳, but you don't get to see those unless that's what you play.

It seems you have a hard time divorcing what you want to play from what must be done. 95. 10十鳳 was the correct choice. It's rare for a horse to be trapped in the center with so few pawns around.

Yes I think you are right on that. I believe my position now is lost, while in like move 66 I still felled comfortable. But I would still like to play more moves to learn how you proceed. What do you think was my biggest mistake (bad choice of strategy or tactics) after around move 66?

Forgive the assumption, but I believe it to be a safe one. Feel free to play another move instead of 同鳳 if you intended otherwise.

Oops, just noticed I had left out your 6-pawn in some of the more recent diagrams. Sorry.

67. 8七豹 Inaccuracy (-0.9) Looks good, especially to a chess player, but actually premature.
71. 同鳳 Inaccuracy (-1.6) 同奔 is cleaner.
73. 7十一奔 Inaccuracy (-0.8) Better was 5九奔
83. 9五豹 Mistake (-7.2)
91. 7六馬 Inaccuracy (-2.1) Better was 2十二馬
95. 9八鳳 Mistake (-3.3)
I have been testing out a new evaluation scale lately to go with the newest version of my evaluation system. The scale, roughly, is: 0 to +4 is equal; +4 to +10 is slightly better; +10 to +18 is better; +18 to +26 is much better; +26 to +38 is winning; more than +38 is easily winning; forced mate (limit) at +128.
Since move 66, I went from about +6.5 to now around +23
Your main problem is strategical stubbornness. You still demonstrate a lack of flexibility. It doesn't help that I'm able to punish most of the little inaccuracies, so it's more noticeable. It's worthy of mention that you still play cleaner chu shogi against me than you do against Evert.
I also noticed that you really hate having your pieces pinned, to the point of fault. So I exploited that.

No problem about the pawn.
Thank you for your analysis I will try to go through the moves tomorrow, if I find the time.
Yeah flexibility is a complex thing in chu shogi. It has much to do with effective developing and I am working on it. I'll try to focus even more on that, if you say so.

Only one game I've ever played (not against myself) has reached any position one could call an endgame.
Time control: 30 minutes + 1 minute byoyomi. I was on byoyomi for more than half the game.
Sente resigned here, but I've always wondered how it would have ended. Would you be interested in playing through it with me, as a cooperative effort? I believe Gote is theoretically winning here, but there could always be some trick somewhere.

It would be very interesting to play this endgame, so yes I would like to. So it is okay for me to give up the other game, so we can play this through.
But I am sorry, today I have a lot of work to do, so we can start only tomorrow. Because you are the stronger player, I would say I write the expected best moves and after this you say yours and correct me if necessary or so? What do you think?
