Sort:

This is a chu shogi game between @dax00 and @KaijiAUT

General rules reference:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chu_shogi

Correspondence chess rules:

https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess960-chess-variants/correspondence-chess-rules-for-variant-chess-proposal

This game will be played by the rules as posted in the general rules reference, except for the following clarifications/differences:

  • Go-betweens can promote on the 12th rank on a non-capture, in addition to normal promotion, like pawns.
  • The Okazaki rule, which allows immediate recapture of an undefended lion, is not in effect.
  • The game is won by capture of all enemy royal pieces or by resignation. Baring the enemy king does not result in a win.

Sente alternates from the last game, so I will play first. よろしくお願いします

I know this position very well. It's one of my favorites, especially with sente. Could be in book for another 10+ moves, unless you make some unexpected deviation.

KaijiAUT

Well then please tell me after, what the standard moves would have been. I hope this move is useful:

I invented this opening system as a way to crush the boring "standard setup" opening nonsense, people just making the same moves over and over without thought. It'll take another 7 or 8 moves until you see the basic organization of it.

Well, I don't have that move analyzed. But I like this opening regardless of whether my opponent plays the boring stuff.
