I can resign. I thought I was doing fine but now I am losing another piece without counterplay.
I had a small lasting advantage in any case. But you were more or less fine until that. If you had to play on, Phx4e as a desperado would probably have been the way to go. GBs are pretty vital, after all.

But the purpose of this swapping was to get a feeling for development, and I don't think it serves that purpose. This feels like a very different game. And intuitively I tried to use the swapping in a tactical way.
Agreed. In an "orthodox" game played by orthodox chu shogi strategy, perhaps the swapping mechanic would have better suited its purpose. But with my aggressively positional style, plus you trying to hit my pieces everywhere, it was never going to play out as intended. Chu shogi is fine the way it is... (although the lances could still use a one-time one-square option).
