Let this be a lesson. A third rank defense is much easier to support than a fourth rank defense. While the latter does allow for more space and can possibly save whatever pawns remain, it takes many more tempi and causes more congestion.
2九豹 was simply inaccurate. That leopard served much better on 3十.
