Crazyhouse vs Bughouse

I have always liked crazyhouse better, but a new realization might change my mind.

I used to like crazyhouse better, because it is played with only 2 players, instead of four. Also, one of bughouse's defects is that if one player checkmates, then the game is over. Most would call this sufficient evidence to declare that crazyhouse is better.

If you have played bughouse, you will know that your opponent's color is the same as your teammate's color. I never really thought much about this, but it is important. While playing in person and not online, whenever you win a chess piece, your teammate will get it. The colorings of the pieces are very convenient, since you can literally hand over the piece that your opponent lost to your teammate - the colors work out. Therefore, you only need 2 chess sets to play bughouse.

Meanwhile, in crazyhouse whenever your opponent loses a piece, you need to change its color before you put it back on the board. Since you might have 3 bishops on the board of one color at some point, crazyhouse also needs two boards.

In bughouse, all pieces are used, but in crazyhouse, half of the pieces are just lying around. This leads me to think that bughouse may be better, at least while playing in person. What do you think?

Can you say clearer

He said it clear enough, but I don’t think this makes crazyhouse better or worse

If you play buf house then you have two chess sets, so to play crazy house you don’t need any more

Even though it does make it more efficient, I don’t think it’s enough to refer to it as better

Crazyhouse is better than Bughouse because in Bughouse, if you want to place a piece then ask your partner, whereas in Crazyhouse, you know what pieces you need to drop.
