Daily option?

Hi, I am trying to set up a chess variant game (Fog of War) with my nephew - we play using the daily formats (usually 7 days), however I'm not seeing this option under the time controls; it only seems to go up to 10 min | 15. Is there something I'm missing or are daily formats not an available feature for these special variants?

That's sad to hear. Hope they implement the daily feature for some of these other variants.

The variants on /variants are based on completely different code than the other parts of the site so most of them are unlikely to be added to Daily I would think. Also, many variants are likely not going to be useful in a daily type setup.

Long-time variants player here,

In many variants White has at least a ~+1 advantage, so that can be seen in long time controls, and thus especially in Daily.

While I could see variants like Fog of War having a chance at becoming a Daily variant since both sides are pretty equal and gameplay isn't stale without time pressure, @Martin_Stahl is absolutely correct on a lot of points. /variants runs on a different code, has different developers (and only 1-3), and from my personal knowledge, chess.com is pretty slow at making any progress in that department, unfortunately.
