The game start with a regular chess except for these changes.

Equipment:

Regular chess set and a 3 six sided dice.

How to play:

At the start of each turn, the player will roll the three dice.

The player can play any of the type of pieces that is corresponding to the number of any of the dice rolled. The number of the dice corresponds to the types of pieces as the following:

1 or 2 corresponds to pawn

3 corresponds to knight

4 corresponds to bishop

5 corresponds to rook

6 corresponds to queen

Kings doesn't need a dice in order to move. Castling is a king move so do not need dice to execute.

If you roll at least a pair of dice, you can choose any pieces to move.

The player who checkmate the opponent king wins.

Wow, this sounds very silly. And I think I know why... because it is.

Dice Chess sounds like a really interesting variation of the classic game. I love how the dice add an element of unpredictability to the strategy. Rolling the dice at the start of each turn to determine which type of piece you can move adds a unique twist to the gameplay. If you're looking for a convenient way to roll the dice during your games, I recently came across a free online dice roller at https://flipsimu.com/dice-roller/roll-d12/. It could save you the trouble of using physical dice and make the gameplay even smoother. As a newcomer to this forum, it's great to see creative ideas like this. Have a fantastic time playing Dice Chess, and may the best strategist win!

That’s a wild twist on classic chess! 🎲♟️ Dice Chess adds just the right amount of unpredictability—suddenly, your strategy needs to bend to the roll of the dice. Rolling a double feels like a power-up, letting you break free from limitations. It’s like chess meets chance, making every turn a little suspenseful. I'd love to see how aggressive players adapt when they can't always move their favorite pieces! I mostly use free online dice roller at https://flipacoinsimu.com/dice-roller .
