Different boards and pieces

Good morning, I'm new to the forum. I play chess often, but so far only in the physical world. And I happen  to love chess variants. Fairy pieces specially, as they add much complexity to the game reasoning.

I have found it difficult to have many different boards to play. I tried making them with wood, but every time there is a slightly different size that I would try. My favorites are 10x10 and 8x12, but I have also tried 10x10 with extra corners. I don't care particularly about different shapes (I have a three player chess, but circular ones I never found interesting enough), but would like to know how do you guys do to play with different board sizes. Do you have multiple boards that you join? Do you have smaller boards (up to 4x4) that you assemble when needed? The real problem to me is having to have a variety of boards (and keeping them organized). Also, different boards have different proportions. Is there some place where I can buy a folding board that can fit many sizes?

Thank you very much.

Where I live 10x10 board are almost always found on the back of a chess board. (Because of International Draughts.) You can buy very high quality boards of this type (wood inlayed, etc.). E.g.
