Double Checkmate

i dont get it
white checks black
black checks white
and the one king who will die first is blacks!
how does black win
if you presented this as if its just a random variant, fine but you act as if this makes sense with normal chess

yeah, but the king who dies is the one who counterchecked
so its a checkmate, but for the other side
so now theres a way to win by losing...
again, you couldve framed this as a weird chess variant but instead you act like it makes any sense as an extension of the rules
if you make a move that checkmates yourself, you dont get credit for it... because you lost from it (unless you win, but again, that makes no sense as an extension of the rules)
as a variant though it would mean that youd have to safeguard your king before checking the enemy and i do see some nice tactics coming out of this
