I'm not a good chess player, but I'd say that this idea is really cool. I've also heard this type of chess in a manhwa called " A Returner's Magic Should Be Special". I think a type of variant like this could create a very strategic and longer chess game that is also fun. I think that this is a great idea that should be created internationally. Sorry that this response was late, but I've only come across this variant of chess until now and I think it's a great idea!

I read that mahwa also and sudden interested to the north sea rules !
so one thing i found when playing is that the ai doesnt really prioritize keeping the higher point peices protected. it sees every peice as a pawn. and when i was moving a peice in a supplyu lane there is no option to pass on the second move. Also there are times when the ai bugs and all the peices have a spasm. i love the concept and hope you can improve it further.
It would be better with a group of programmers and chess variant enthusiasts working together to create this variant in reality. Don't you think?

I see FIDE pieces and only one non-standard piece. What does that piece do?
Since in the margin of the image the ships are referred to as 'Queens', I suppose they move like an orthodox Queen. They are probably represented differently to remind the player of the rule that capturing them gives you an extra turn.
This is an interesting rule I haven't seen before. It acts as an anti-trading rule for Queens, as when a Queen ever gets in range of an opponent Queen, you would capture it by hit-and-run, withdrawing with your extra move to where you came from (rifle capture) or to some other safe place (which a Queen can almost always find). Also counter-strike is more difficult: if your Queen gets attacked, and you counter-attack the opponent Queen with the intention to trade by counter-strike, the opponent would capture your Queen, and with the extra move save his own.
I like this! Large games with many pieces badly need some way to speed them up, by keeping some strong pieces in the game that effectively slaughter the weak and slow. I might support the 'bonus move' idea in the Interactive Diagram, specifiable in a type-selective way by a new symbol in the 'capture matrix'.
This variant still seems to have the problem that initially the Knights are good for defense, making it very hard to create a successful attack on the opponent's camp without getting your own Knights there first. Which would take many moves.
The capturing of a ship giving you an extra turn is a genius idea. It's like Chu Shogi's Lion trading rules but simpler and more effective, without the immortality of Maka Dai Dai Shogi's contagious pieces. H. G. Muller invented a new variant called Shock Chess to test the idea and it works really well.
