Hello, did Magnus or Hikaru use a short trap and win 98% of the time? No, sir, the engine does not give anyone points for the opponent's mistake. Points are only given for not making a wrong move. And that's choosing the best move.
In the last daily game, I played the Tennyson Gambit because my opponent was not skilled and checkmated very quickly, but the engine gave me a low score. It also gives me a low score in Stafford, even to Eric Rosen. So please don't say that 100% score is for traps in the short game.
Yes it's possible and though it's rare it's not hard. If your opponent plays really bad you could get 100.0 accuracy. If they resign early you can get it too. If all your moves were booked and then your wifi router gave up on you...it's still 100. There are lots of examples here: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-showcase/i-got-a-100-0-accuracy-game-post-your-100-0-accuracy-games-here-if-u-had-any-114999696
I don't see the purpose of saying you got 100%, then asking if it's possible. You already answered your own question. Clearly it is possible if your opponent resigns early, so your question could only make sense if interpreted as "Can you get 100% in a full normal game of Chess?". The answer would be yes, but it would almost certainly be a short one, with mistakes from your opponent.
you can just play book move and if your opponent resigned after you played the book move, it can be 100. But also, you can also play chess perfectly
