Fet's 3D Chess

So, I got this really nice idea today. 3D Chess, with a 2x8x8 board, which means that we play on 2 boards. You can choose either to move on the same board or switch to the other board with your piece and move there. Annotations will be like this:
[Piece abbrevation]+Board number]+[square coordinate].
Pieces can switch to the other board on the same square, and then on the same turn it can move on the other board. For example, a rook on B1e1 (board 1 e1) could go to B2e1 (board 2 e1), and then on the same turn from there move to B2e2 (board 2 e2). Important: you can only switch boards once per turn, and you have two choices when you move with a piece:
1. You move on the same board it was according to standard chess rules.
2. You switch boards and then move according to standard chess rules.
You can not move first on the same board you were and then switch boards. I reserve a spot for @GraysonKellogg, but if he doesn't want to play, anyone can play against me would'd like to.

Oh, and btw, time control is 3 days/move correspondence.

Okay, @GraysonKellogg doesn't want to play right now, so the spot is open!

An important rule clarification:
You can’t switch to the other board and then don’t move on the other board. For example, if you have a queen on B1d1, you can’t move it to B2d1, only B2d2, B2e1, etc. Exception: if you capture a piece by switching boards. Then you can’t move on the other board, since you have captured a piece.

Can I try ?

Can pawn switch board ?

I feel like capturing a piece when changing board (i.e. : N1g2 —> Nx2g2). I think you shouldn't be able to switch boards if there is a piece there

I want to play

#6 yes
#7 I think it's nice, elseway the position would be too blocked .

#8 sorry, but @cheeseblackbelt commented earlier

And we should write the notations like this instead: piece initial position->piece end position, because elseway it could be confusing. For example, NB1g1->B2f3.

Would you like to be white? If so, then please tell your move.

Why is the second board empty ? Is it supposed to be like that ?

And also can the king change boards ? It would be too easy to avoid checkmate if it could

you know, I think you are onto something big, Fet. You should expect to hear from chess.com about them using your idea on their site. Its a REALLY good one, congrats.

and nice job of working out the notation also. I seriously think you are onto something here

Oh ok I understand I’ll go 1. 1e2 → 2e4

#13 Yes, the second board is supposed to be empty. And remember that the checking piece can also change boards, and the checking piece also controls squares on the other board…. Actually, it's not so easy to avoid checkmate, I've tried a K+Q vs. K checkmate and it was as easy as in normal chess, because the Queen also restricts squares on the other board.

#16 okay, I'll update the board one moment.

Okay, I move 1. …B1f8-2c5.
