Fischer960: Castling as the first move!

Sort:

It is possible in positions of type *****KR* (short castling) and **RK**** (long castling)

  1. BBNNRKRQ: [+0.7] 1. O-O [-0.7] O-O [+0.5]

Actually, we see that it's not a good idea in this case, the evaluation jumps from +0.7 to -0.7. tongue

I'm unable to do Fisher castles with King adjacent to the rook on chess.com.  I'm supposed to drop the king on the rook and it's supposed to castle.... Neither piece has moved and there is no check.  Very strange.

Oh -- actually I see my error. The king and rook do not change places.  Instead the king always ends on c1 (queen side) or f1 (king side).

Ok, if U have castling problems with the Local Explorer, U can use Fischer960 Analysis Board on Lichess site. explorerpeshka
