its very hard to compare the two. i would say due to the nature of the fog it requires more strategy. making inferenced and deducing what your opponent is doing and responding in a safe calculated manner. on the other hand atomic is very strategic as well due to the peices but not pawns dissapearing in an explosion. i have very little experience in the variant considering i am a FoW player basically exclusively but i feel like it would be unfair to say it has less strategy seeing as ive hardly played it at even a beginner level. however i will say this. the thing that i love most about fog is the strategy and the scouting making attacks and board memorization. i do not find the same things in atomic nor the same joy so in a personal opinion? Fog of War.
