What is the point of this diagram?

1e4-2Nf3isbest

A castling blunder

LhcAndrewB

And when would anyone do that?  You would have to be really bad at chess

Hey! Here's a new topic, "I went onto Geico and saved $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000" You want to know what happened next, I went onto Catco and got a cat-catapult!"

Why does black have 3 rooks?

Metal_Pineapples

The 0-0-0 was fine, the d3 was the blunder of the day

Metal_Pineapples

I'm talking about game #1

Ever heard of promoting?

LhcAndrewB

Yes, but how in this position?  White hasn't castled yet one of blacks pawns must have gone on either d1 or e1

Metal_Pineapples

If white was a pure idiot, promoting to a rook on d1 is possible, though... wait, your right, because white can still castle. I'm confused with you now. Must be one of those impossible positions.

LhcAndrewB

IKR!?!?!

Metal_Pineapples

What does that mean???

LhcAndrewB

I know right!?!?!?

Galaxy_Chess_God

I forgot to take one out

LhcAndrewB

It's fine, but it is an illegal position so... You're going to jail!!!!! JK wink.png

Galaxy_Chess_God

its legal actually, and try making up more stuff it amuses mehappy.png

LhcAndrewB

How is that position legal? Could you please elaborate?
