So in bughouse, I managed to spot a fool's mate that my opponent blundered. I played it, but it was NOT mate due to the fact that they can still drop pieces (bughouse). In that SPECIFIC MOMENT, they had NO EXTRA MATERIALS TO DROP AND YET THE GAME DID NOT END IN MATE. Here is a screenshot post game: I did cut out a bit of the extra pieces on the left, but you can CLEARLY SEE THAT HE HAS NO EXTRA PIECES. Bughouse NEEDS an update for these situations.
And to top that off, my teammate (600 elo) THREW THEIR GAME ON TIME AGAINST A 100 ELO.
This is checkmate, no pawns can block(they are one step too ahead or just to far) and the other pieces are blocked by the pawns or just can't block/capture
In a normal chess game, that would be considered checkmate. but this is Bughouse variant, if you can see. That means they get to place extra pieces that their teammates have captured.
