Hmm, how are you connecting to the web page? Wifi? What browser? Are you using a phone, laptop or PC?
And you don't have those same problems when you play regular chess?

I'm on wifi, safari, and I'm on a Mac.
it doesn't happen on regular games, just when I try variants.
Someone posted a similar problem fairly recently and someone asked if their MacOS version was updated.
Is there a way to play variants on a phone
I use an Android web browser for many things on the site. You could probably play some of the variants but I don't think that 4 player chess or bughouse would have enough screen space on a phone.
I would write to support@chess.com. They may have some ideas on how to handle this.
Automate is missing from the Chess.com>Variants> menu, but all the other Variants games are still listed. I wrote to support, but it usually takes 24 to 36 to hear back from them. You can always go directly there, even though the Automate is missing from the menu by going to:

Please bring AUTOMATE to the Variants games on Chess.com. It was by far my favorite feature on Chess.com.
