If a wooden chess set were made to be used to play variants, what extra pieces should it have?

Assume it would have all the standard chess pieces, but what would be the best unorthodox pieces to also include? Chancellor, marshall, etc? Or just some pieces which are different from the standard chess pieces so the players could use them in whatever role they required?

Imagine on a 10x10 or 10x8 board, with 10 pawns.

Chancellor (also called marshal), and archbishop (cardinal) are good to have. In fact I think they're commercially available, although they're plastic (not wood). For my games I like guard and witch. In fact I made one set out of wood. A lot of trouble to make hand-made pieces though, especially if they're custom.

@vickalan Thanks. I don't play variants myself, but I'm starting to make boards/pieces to sell and I want to have variant pieces as optional extras but am not sure what the best choices would be. From looking around on this forum it seems like people make up endless new pieces and am trying to find 2-4 of the most useful pieces to have available.
