I just started playing chess and get a bit into it, there’s a lot of books to read and drills to practice the movement. Somehow, I lost the fun at the start :(

you don't need to read books at your level you'll gain experience from games and tactics

I tried a few first games with my friend, but he's around 1000 elo which made my game ends so fast in a few moves. So I think I need to learn the pattern and get used to the moves of my chess

You can play with bots first, you will practice with bots, and you will take the lessons in chess.com, then you will watch tutorials, then you will play games rapid, then you will solve puzzles ,then you will play in a tournament. You can download Lichess.com to solve puzzles more.

yes, maybe I take some steps back and do some self-learnings, cause at some points, I want to play with my friends but they all have good skills to compete with and usually the game ends quiet fast which makes me lost

If you lost fun at the start, drop it. There are plenty of other activities which may challenge you you - sudoku, crosswords or going to museums.

It seems that it’s another person to be convinced that chess is fun. No interest? Go hiking or browse internet for fun.

I did lots of sudoku games and water sorts, now I come to chess. I'm just a bit into chess and play puzzles continuously, maybe I should take a break

just consider it's a vent, no harsh thought, I recognize that it's still all fun until it gets a bit serious
