is 960 better than regular chess?

It can be more interesting at the beginning but overall I just play regular

960 is just a fancy way to shake things up, like it's the Gay Nineties all over again, but without the old guard's established openings. Seems a bit much to expect folks to memorize a thousand different setups. Aside from the opening, it's just good ol' chess. Nothing new under the sun, just a bit of shuffling and untangling. If we really want to freshen things up, why not introduce a new piece or two ?

960 is a little better than standard chess.

Bobby Fisher invented it. Even the first move can take you out of your comfort zone.

Should chess stick to the tried and true openings we know and love? Or should players go off-script and explore uncharted territory ?

unless just sitting and waiting for a duck to come by is your game. I like prowling the bushes myself
