No took me a while to discover what atomic chess and still I don't know how it works all i know is you take a piece and lose that piece so say your queen is in the middle they take the queen anything in the queens line of fire also gets taken (i haven't a clue correct me if i'm wrong anybody)

Elaboration:
When you take a piece, all pieces in the 8 squares around it, and the piece itself, get taken off the board. However, if a pawn is in the "blast range," it won't explode (because they're built different).
