Also, in my last diagram, second continuation (beginning as 3. Rb1)… at the end we would not play 6. … Qc6. Instead we would play 6. … Kb8 and not lose a pawn.
Still need to do more analysis. Working on it.

A few more examples from our current position...
So, it looks like we are safe to play Kc7 for our current move.
Only move I haven't looked at is 3. Bxb3, but it looks like:
3. Bxb3 g6 4. Rcd1 Rad8 5. Rxa6 (disaster for Martin), 5. Rxd8 Rxd8 6. Rd6 RxR,PxR,KxP, 6. Rxd8 Kxd8 and we're better off ever so slightly.
Yes, and we can play Kc7 (as Qc7 on Martin's Official Board) and his momentum will not hold. Can't guarantee that it will work out for us, but we Hold against all odds. Can't believe it, myself.

Good thing that the queen would be hanging, otherwise in the #571 line, you had missed 5. Rxd7+!(in the 4. Qxf7 Rf8 line)
I'll have to look at that, but you can see how Martin could easily make small inaccuracies by himself, whereas the contributions of all "the World" catch the small minutia.
Many times we've been about to play a move and someone out of nowhere catches an oversight of ours.
Can't believe we're back in this game.

Yes, had missed that, and now I understand the meaning of your expression 'that the Queen would be hanging' which means she's captured "in a noose" — so to speak — by the Bishop, just in the nick of time. (rather than have the Bishop 'be hanging')
Skin of our teeth, this whole game, and relying on the "kindness of strangers." ~ Streetcar Named Desire
Explains the urgency of your post to Martin earlier today.
Looking closer at the whole #571, and I'm not liking it when 3. Qe7+ is played. It's not solved entirely, now that Ry brought up the Rxd7+. Looking at it to make sure. It's a deja vu thing analysis for me.
Yes, that's what I thought would work… but it doesn't.
Let me look at this for an hour.
Yes, we have to play Rad8… forced, or we lose our Queen; I think we're going to get bitten, here.
The good news is… Martin will play immediately: he's expecting our only move.
Play right away, ry, maybe Martin will do something unexpected.
I'm not exactly sure. (In all of the combos, I came across it.)
I'm looking for it. But Rad8 was forced, so we're doing the right thing for the time being.
Our next move will be the make of break.
Ry, the answer from Martin, on our DB capturing the Queen robbing us of our pawn on f7, is the capture of the Queen is legal. Martin would not try to take that f7 pawn because the DB is allowed to capture her, even though the DB would travel off the 7th rank, exposing our King for an instant, before capturing her.
Correct?
Martin's reply confused me because the Kings and Queens were reversed in his explanation.
