I still need to read the Pawn Grabber event, still little confused.

haoming09

Oh ok.

Have boned up on both Events, believe I understand them both now… can contribute meaningfully.

Queen Builder and Pawn Grabber… Queen Builder and Pawn Grabber… …
Queen Builder and Pawn Grabber… Queen Builder and Pawn Grabber… …

Martin0 is 2 days in now, he has 4 days at his disposal, and so I think he is putting in the time, because the early moves decide the outcome.  And if it gets too hard, he can go on vacation… buy more time, so to speak.

We need spies.

Can anyone report on other activities Martin0 has going on.  It would be very helpful to know if he is presently involved in many Chess dot com activities.  Activities that would pry at his time to our game.

We lost the first one… let's win this second one… legitimately of course… but using all of our legitimate prowess.

We win this one… there will be a "bumper match" down the line, the 2 out of three match...

So let's make it happen on this one.  To get there!

This is the current position:

What should we do?

haoming09

make our first "Queen" by stacking the Bishop and the Rook?

The Pawn Grabber event is kinda hurting my brain.

I vote Nc3.

Still studying the position.

Just realized that the Queen Builder Event allows the changing of the color of your Bishops.  Bishop alights on top of a Rook, Rook moves one square (like a Rook), and your Bishop is now a different color-square Bishop, if it moves off alone.

Have to be careful.

My vote:  Nc3

Advantages:

  1. Develops a piece
  2. Attacks the center

Also, my current goals are to get 3 Queens.  Although we will halve our piece count in so doing, we would also clear ranks and files for extreme mobility of power.

Martin knows this, too.

For us, a1 and f1 are potential Queens.

For Martin, he has the same, potential mirror Queens to us:  a8 and f8.

Nc3 has 3 votes so far.

Chess_Pro2

I vote 7. Nc3

We can only make 1 queen so unless we promote it is impossible to get 3 queens. I think the bishop on g2 is much better so eventually combining the rook on a1 and the bishop on c1 makes the most sense I think.
