is taking on e5 worth considering?
dxe5 dxe5
c5 nxc5
qxd8 qxd8
nxe5
This line would trade off queens. Dunno if it's good tho

Even though 8. Bg5 h6 9. g4 does not work, I still think 8. Bg5 looks very interesting. After 8...h6 I am suggesting 9. Bh4 g5 10. Nxg5 hxg5 11. Bxg5 with a very interesting position. Now black has to be very careful. 11...Qe8 loses to 12. Qa4.
11...exd4 is probably the best move here. The position looks interesting, but unclear and I'm not sure I've even looked at the best defense for black.
Against 11...Nb6 I couldn't find a winning line for white (at least not against 12. Bxb7 Bxb7 13. g4 exd4 14. Qxd4 Nxg4 15. Qxg4 f6), but it looked very interesting.
Please take a look at the above diagram and look at the lines (and alternative lines), because I've found some very interesting lines starting with 8. Bg5. If we can improve the lines where I couldn't find a winning move, then 8. Bg5 looks very promising. Of course it's possible that I just missed some simple move again.

@Chess_Pro2, I don't think analyzing with a chess board will help, remember, this is event chess. There are events that might be gamechanging.

You can still analyze with a chessboard with the event. in mind, right?
I think I found a potential improvement to the 8. Bg5 h6 9. Bh4 g5 10. Nxg5 hxg5 11. Bxg5 Nb6 line. In the new line (which is in the above analysis board), white ends up up a pawn (which is probably better than having a position that looks unclear).
Also I've analyzed what happens if black plays 11...exd4 12. Qxd4 and then moves the f6 knight. No matter where black moves the f6 knight, white gets at least an edge (and I actually think the advantage will be enough to win). See the board below.
I still need to analyze the position after 11...exd4 12. Qxd4 to see if black has a better defense. I will do that later. White seems to be better in every line I've looked at so far after 8. Bg5 (but I have yet to look at 11...exd4 12. Qxd4 in detail).
In this line, I think it's close.
Black has horrible development but has the piece for 3 pawns
White has good development but has a lot of week pawns that will probably go down
Now that I think of it, white is probably better since black can't really move his bishop+rook but it's unclear imo
Also, white can take on d8 instead of e5 in the final moves of your analysis. White would be up a rook
Oh, I completely missed that that white could play 17. Bxd8 and be up a rook. That's even better. As for the Nh5 line that ends with Rxe2, I missed that black could play this. However, there seems to be a much better move after 12...Nh5, namely 13. Qh4. I found this move before I suggested 13. Bxd8 after 12...Nh5 and it looked promising, but I didn't have time to calculate everything. See my analysis of that move below.
Also 17. Bf3 at the end of the 12...Nh5 line that ends with 16...Rxe2 does not work (or rather does not win a piece) because black counterattacks the white bishop on d6 with either 17...Rd2 or 17...Re6. But this is pretty irrelevant because of the superior 13. Qh4 line I found (see diagram above) after 12...Nh5.
But what is relevant is that black could play almost the exact same line (the one that I missed that ends with 16...Rxe2) after 12...Nn7 (instead of 12...Nh5) 13. Bxd8. Unfortunately we can't play 13. Qh4 after 12...Nh7 (like we can after 12...Nh5) because the g5 bishop is double attacked, so we really have to play 13. Bxd8 after 12...Nh7. That is why I looked at this line in a bit more detail. See the alternative lines in the analysis above.
17. Rfb1 looks very strong in that 12...Nh7 line (17. Bf1, creating another queen is also worth considering), since it attacks the b7 pawn and black does not seem to have a way of defending it (unless I missed something). White will be up a pawn and have the bishop pair (or white will exchange bishops on b7 so that white has 1 bishop and black has 0 bishops), and having an extra bishop in the endgame will probably be a very strong advantage with the Queenbuilder event. However white will have doubled c pawns that could become very weak (unless one of the c pawns becomes a strong passed pawn). But I believe white is better in that line.
Also, if anyone is curious, here's what happens after 12...Nh5 13. Qh4 Nhf6 14. Bh3 Qe8 (unpinning the queen). I actually forgot to consider what happens after 15. Bxd7 Nxd7 before (I didn't even see that black could recapture with his knight).
I also made a mistake in the line 12...Nh5 13. Qh4 Nhf6 14. Bh3 Nc5. I claimed that white should play 15. Bxc8 Rxc8 16. Nd5. This is of course wrong, since black can just play 16...Ncd7, with no clear way for white to get an advantage. I fixed this now in the below diagram. 15. Nd5 (letting black take on h3) is much better than 15. Bxc8.
14. Nd5 is also worth considering, but it's not clear to me if it's better than 14. Bh3 or not. I have only looked at this move briefly.
Edit: I made a mistake in the above diagram. After 12...Nh5 13. Qh4 Nhf6 14. Bh3 Nc5 15. Nd5 Nce4 16. Bxc8 Rxc8 17. f3 c6 18. fxe4 cxe4 19. Bxf6 Bxf6 I suggested 20. Rxf6 with the mating idea 20...Rxc4 21. Qg5+ Kh7 22. Rh6++. But of course 21. Qg5+ is illegal, since white has to make a capturing move. We will actually lose material if we play 20. Rxf6 because we are forced to make a bad capturing move on move 21. Therefore I think 20. Qxf6 is better. I have updated the above diagram with that move.
