Thoughts?

The maze setup is cool and interesting, but it seems uneven? How would the pieces be set up to ensure each side gets a fair chance?

white starts on bottom left, black on top right!

Can knights jump over maze walls?

I realize that in the boards from the OP, the walls have been drawn between squares. So they're not implicitly 'obstacles on squares'. I'm tempted to say that the walls imply a topology such that even Knights are bound to the maze structure.

Another option is to allow Knights to jump these walls. Or to introduce pieces that can jump these walls.

A third option is to allow Knights partially to jump walls. E.g. on the first board from d4 to f5 or e6.

There's no point in taking this decision now.
