My attempt in a custom piece

The crusader

Excuse my drawing, i suck.

How it works:

The crusader starts in the bishop's spot, and in fact, replaces the bishop.

The crusader can either attack or defend.

It can move in any available space up, and 3 spaces diagonal, and can move back two spaces. When capturing,  it stops one square before the spot that the piece it captured was on.

To defend, it must be in front of a piece. If captured, the piece that captured the crusader will also be captured. This only happens when defending.
