Indeed, this variant (known as The Maharadja and the Sepoys) is a proven win for black. The interesting thing is that the win can be proven through just a single line. Black just takes care that at every time all his pieces are protected, and his King is never in range of a (safe) Amazon check. And, in case the line needs a Pawn to move, that the square in front of the Pawn is attacked. Under those conditions the Amazon cannot do anything you would have to react on, (i.e. neither capture, check or block), so you don't care what it does, and just stick to your own plan. Which is developing all your pieces untill they attack every square on the board.
