Problem With Bughouse Draw!

I'm sure other people have encountered this, but I wanted to share my experience with it.
In bughouse games, or any game, actually, draw by threefold repetition is based solely on the notation. In this game linked below, my opponent and I alternated placing down pieces and capturing, which the engine counted as threefold repletion. Although the pieces placed were the same type, they were different individual pieces, obviously, and there was a valid tactical purpose for placing them repeatedly.

I feel like this shouldn't be threefold repetition, because the game dynamic is on a different plane than tradition two-player chess. The new dynamics of trading pieces and capturing completely overhaul the meaning of repeated captures.
