Participation: The first two people to say sign-up gets to play each other.

This is a variant already invented, but I thought it would've been fun with all the bongcloud openings trending lately. The board sets up like this:

Rules: The first player to get their king to the 8th rank wins. The moving of the standard pieces are all the same.

Special rules: It is not allowed to check the opponent's king, nor it is legal to move into check. There is no castling, and if black moves their kind into the 8th rank right after white moves their kind into the 8th rank, the game is a draw.
