I made a new varient! Here are the rules:

Rooks: They become antelope, which can move two or four squares in any direction and can jump, but only over one piece.

Knights: They become cheetahs, which are like queens but they can't move backwards.

Bishops: They become lions, and they move like a Knight and a Camel combined.

Queens: They become tigers, which moves like a Queen, but can also move like a Camel when capturing.

Pawns: They become rabbits, which on their first move can move two squares in any direction(And Knight). This means that they can move backward!

Kings retain their normal movement

It would be great is you could give me feedback or are interested in playing a forum game

Maybe the pawns cannot move backwards, to allow promotion -- or else it might get a bit weird. Plus, if the pawns do move in all directions, there should be fewer pawns and more weak pieces (like knights), in my opinion.

No, they can only move in any direction on their first move.
