Short chess

So what is Short Chess? Well it's set on a 4 by 8 board and the pieces are set up the same. You have to check before you can checkmate. Why? There is a one move checkmate with a pawn, try to find it. And pawns only move one square at a time, otherwise they can instantly promote. Also off topic, variants for the app.

I have thought of this for a long time now and played many games. It definitely speeds up the game and you have to think differently than regular chess. Many people in my family ( who like chess ) like it.

Bumping with text posts only does not work.

You also need to post diagrams if you want to beat the system.

A few diagrams mixed in with text bumps does the trick.

Straight into the most recent window everytime for everybody to see.

If you already have the image say a png file then just upload it using the small icon between the chess icon and smiley face icon at the top of the textbox used for posting text.

If you have to make the diagram look at that guys profile, he has a website that has a board editor for creating custom diagrams.

Most of the diagrams on this forum are done using that board editor.

You need at least 3 people that have posted and a few diagrams.

You can only post 5 consecutive times and then you have to wait for someone else to post.

So only post say 3 max and keep 2 in reserve so you can bump later if needed.

Once things start rolling bump more than once each time like I am doing now to ramp things up and get it into the hot list.
