Supercharged Chess - A Chess Variant

Supercharged Chess!

A chess variant that uses fairy chess pieces! A powerful variant that makes sense in an 8x8 board, it is basically a "knighted" variant.

Yes, all the rules are the same, but the pieces are not, except for the King and Pawns.

The "new" pieces are the most known fairy chess pieces, the fairy chess celebrities, except for the Centurion (or supercharged knight). I explain how each piece moves:

The King: Same as traditional chess.

The Pawn: Same as traditional chess. It promotes to every other piece (except the King obviously).

The Vizier: It is known as the "Amazon", but I prefer "Vizier". It moves like a Queen and Knight:

The General: It is the General of the Army. It moves like a Rook and Knight:

The Cardinal: The top religious leader. It moves like a Bishop and Knight:

The Centurion (Supercharged Knight): Is the leader of the land (footed) army. It moves like a Knight plus the fairy pieces Dabbaba and Alfil:

In the end, the variant Supercharged Chess in its initial position looks like this:

Would you give me your feedback?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I have played it myself in Excel using images and moving them with the mouse, for now, is the only place I can play it. I have to say that it feels like chess, it is very tactical.

You can play chess variants with this free software, although Supercharged chess is not there: http://www.chessv.org/

If you can avoid re-introduce existing pieces under new names then that would be better. Variant inventors have already created so much confusion with piece names.

Thank for your comment.
I don't care much about the names of the pieces, I am interested in the variant itself.

About the names, I just suggested names that in a given context make sense.

Best wishes.
