I can tell you what the most powerful LAST move was:
Ahmed ben Hussan holds the record for resigning by sweeping all the pieces off the board and smashing the wooden board over his opponent's head. His record of seven times in one competition has never been equaled.
I would expect that his later opponents started showing up for their game wearing Pickelhaubes.
