Obviously it wasn't too late. Yesterday just felt like Friday all day to me, so seeing the score update just freaked me out.
Personally, I believe that if someone drops out, and they have not yet scored any points, then they are just removed, and all previous weeks should get re-calculated with them removed. However, if they have already scored points, then all continuous weeks up to the point where the given person drops out get removed, so all the points they have scored up to that point are kept, but the weeks where they stopped get removed.
Does that make sense? Probably not.

Quitting is not allowed if he has scored points; if he hasn't, just don't count him.
