variant idea, piece removal

New chess variant idea. Standard chess rules, plus the ability to delete your own piece. quite simple, like rare moves like en passant, this won't be used often, but, it takes a turn to remove any one of your own pieces (apart from the king obviously, and if the removal of the piece checks the king)

This does need play-testing, my speculation is that it might be abused for new openings, but will definitely be useful for attacks in mid-game, and avoiding checkmates, and for position improvements in the end game.

If it does get abused and stockfish finds a mate in x from the starting position then maybe add one last rule, where the player can delete their pieces only after moving the king from the starting position or by castling.
