Weird Chess Move

Hey pplz

been playing a fair bit of vista chess and came across a strange pawn move...

Im white and i click on the pawn and i get this purple square come up that i have never seen before, and when i choose the purple square my pawn moves to that square and takes out the black pawn to the left of the yellow square.

Ive done some searching on this but cant find any information on this move.

Any info appreciated, cheers

You must be able to take the pawn on d5 en passant
