One of my favorite fairy piece is a SuperCamel(CG) which is a Camel-Threeleaper compund. A supercamel and a king can force checkmate on a bare king. My favorite janggi (korean chess) variants use a non-leaping analogue of supercamel, which is called Wu (lit. Bull).
Another my favorite fairy piece is a SuperKirin(FD with some extra moves near the chessboard boundary). My favorite janggi (korean chess) variants use a non-leaping analogue of superkirin, which is called Gwang (lit. Light).
