ho yes I understand
What's the relevance of chess sets?

I was always very happy with my many physical chess sets for variants. Because of the rare occasions in which I could bring them to OTB tournaments, or meet opponents face to face. I have nice pieces and boards for Shogi, Xiangqi, Chu Shogi, Tenjiku Shogi, and many nice wooden Superchess sets, a big 10x10 board and a big improvised 12x12 board.
These days I don't even touch them anymore. I don't feel any need anymore to set up a chess position on a board. Everything happens online. There's no difference anymore between the chances of playing FIDE chess in a physical fashion, and the chances of playing even the most exotic rarely played variant.
Where do you find 10x10 boards that are the correct size, or fairy pieces? I'd love to get some of that stuff and try and make and rest my own variant, but idk where to find pieces (especially of the right size). I'd have loved to have bought an omega chess set, just to have champions and wizards, but it seems that that variant has been discontiuned.

I get what you're a saying guys, but without sites like this one, I wouldn't play a single game in months. (lack of rivals)

They offer a board where the squares of the checkers board are 53 mm. That's very nice.
And for fairy pieces there are the Musketeer Chess pieces from House of Staunton if you like plastic, or the Superchess pieces if you like wood:
