Where can I read about the complete rules of 4-Player Chess?

I had an issue understanding the rules of 4-Player Chess, and apparently, I am not alone - compare this thread where it is claimed that

> Checkmate and stalemate are determined immediately

despite my example showing otherwise, for stalemate at least.

I have looked, but I cannot find them: please, where are the Chess.com complete rules for 4-Player-Chess?

@notmtwain thanks. Are these up to date? Because I have checked two players simultaneously before and don't remember getting 5 points for this, despite the rules saying

> Checking two players simultaneously: +5

Also, with these rules I cannot find any information on the claim

(where I think the second half is incorrect) from the other thread - so that original question remains unanswered.

This forum is so weird. This the second time now that I post a new thread, get an answer almost instantly, and upon sending a follow-up question, the thread is completely dead.

What's weird about it?

I thought I answered your question about where to find the rules. Did you read them?

If you had, you would have seen they were very recently updated. The rules say they were last updated three days ago so I think they are pretty up to date.

The rules don't say that mate is determined immediately.

They say "Checkmate only happens when the checkmated player's turn is reached."

I don't play four player so I don't know all the nuances but I would think the same principal applies to stalemate (that it wouldn't count until it was the stalemated player's turn, especially given that points are awarded for self stalemate.)

Yes, I did: a week ago, so I did not see any recent edit made in the past's future wink.png

Good point.

They say that in the "Teams" section. I should have re-mentioned this here, but the game posted in the original thread is an FFA game:

Well, thanks for your opinion, but the examples given in the original thread suggest otherwise. In FFA, checkmate seems to be determined immediately but stalemate is not. And that is something I would expect to be pointed out in the rules if this is intended behavior.
