Why does the variant leaderboard disappear?

Hey everyone!
I've noticed that some days I will be able to access the leaderboard for chess variants and other days I won't be able to, like the option/button you press to view it simply disappears!
I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem and if they fixed it? Any information about this problem is welcome!
