WW2 Chess (Axis vs Allies)

Sort:
TheChessInfinity

Hey guys! Another variant here - WW2 chess!

White resembles the Allies (Russia, USA, Britain and China), while Black resembles the Axis (Germany, Japan, Italy). The goal of this game is to capture the king.

Now I'll present the movements of each piece.

King: Moves just like in western chess. Doesn't castle.

Infantry: Moves 1 step forward. When it gets to the 12th rank (allies) or 3rd  rank (axis), it'll gain the ability to move 1 step horizontally. Doesn't promote.

Tank: Moves 1-3 steps vertically, horizontally or diagonally.

Artillery: Moves 1-2 steps vertically and horizontally or moves like a horse from Chinese chess.

Anti-air: Moves 1 step vertically, horizontally or diagonally. During the opponent's turn, anti-air will shoot enemy aircraft within 1 square vertically, horizontally or diagonally from it.

Bunker: This thing doesn't move at all! But it'll shoot any enemy piece that gets within 2 squares horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Tank destroyer: Moves like a tank, but shoots enemy tanks that gets within 1-2 squares horizontally and vertically or 1 square diagonally from it

Aircraft: Can instantly teleport to any empty square instantly, but can only capture like a rook in western chess.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this chess variant!

Look up the subtitle of your game, but maybe change vs to and in the Google search. (Sorry I don’t know how to make this a reply)
