I don't get how bughouse works
it's like 2 crazyhouse games going at once, only you give the pieces you take to your partner (who can then place one of them on the board rather than move, since they play as the opposite color):
pawns may not be dropped on the first or last rank, promoted queens revert back to pawns when captured, you only communicate with your partner in chat, one decisive result ends both games & you want to stay ahead of your partner's opponent on time in case you have to abruptly stop playing (about to lose), since then they can't just sit & flag you. 🙂

One thing this makes me curious about: Do promoted queens become pawns in Crazyhouse? I've been promoting to knights because I don't know whether or not the opponent will get a queen if I promote to one (in the situation where I'm usually taking a guarded piece).

liquor can kill you.
So can chocolate! I'm not about to give either up in moderation! 😂

Chess960 no discussion.
I bought an opening repertoire on chessable and realize that most of the work to improve at classical chess was brute force memorization.
Now I play 960 mostly, the dynamic is different because you have to think on literally ALL your move especially at the beginning. The situation can be imbalance but that's even out with the matches and playing imbalance position is fun.
I have trouble understanding why there is no more 960 going on, make more sense than classical chess.
