4 player chess - indirect checkmate?

Hey,
I was just curious about the rules of 4 players chess. Let's say one player check the other in such a way that checked player can not interpose any piece but he CAN move to a different square. Then another player takes this flight square away from said player. Who will be awarded 20 points for a checkmate ? The person that actually checked the other player or the person that took away the flight square?
