And if you blunder the queen by some reason, urmm...
Why does every 2400+ play the benoni?
Ahhhh ok yeah that makes sense
What's the most boring and unambitious way to play against the Benoni that requires no theory?
I think I'll do that
Instead of pushing d5 you can go e3 and get a calm game. I played it OTB against an FM and won but you can see that black is able to equalize comfortably.
You are inviting black to attack by playing passively, which might not be a calm game. Depends whether you prefer to defend or attack. I can do either but I prefer to attack. Mistakes are less costly when you're attacking than when you're defending.
Maybe my opponent misplayed but he was higher rated and I felt completely comfortable with e3. I'm more used to the kind of structures I got with it too
I don't blame you. Completely solid, natural move. Might have been the best choice against a higher rated oppinent.
I shouldn't be here ... supposed to be 20 miles away playing in a match. I had a slight cold and 3 hours ago it turned into a very bad one.

It's the right choice. Very hard to be concentrating for so long when ill. Hope you feel better
Fr bro, Benoni is such a rare and ancient opening, it just gets the queens out.
