On lichess(a website) there is something called horde chess.It's pretty balanced!!I, although think White (the Pawns) is advantage, prefer playing Black (the Pieces). It's more like squeezing structure vs. sacrifices and cracks.

Interesting chess variant @IC. So,the two players have different objective.But not balanced objective variant will be difficult to be promoted into official tournament,since it will rise favors on one of both players.That is ok for friendly match i think.
