It's taken 5 months to get 17 moves, so Ry does have a point. If a World Championship game takes up to a year, that's not ridiculous, but any longer than that is. I'll try to take no longer than five days per move from here out, but having said that I won't be rushed by anyone other than nav or vick.
I haven't been enforcing any time control, mainly because even if this game is finished, there is currently no obvious "next contender". But at some point we have to decide who can challenge the winner of this game. I might later set-up a 4-player tournament to help decide that.

I think that's good, but maybe some other candidates too. Maybe SuperSam1 and AsC14 if he wins against me. Since the game will be used to decide the next contender I have to ask the infinite chess federation about it.

I agree, it's his first game. After an early blunder AsC is playing accurately I think. I'm just starting with a list of more than 4 people in case anyone doesn't want to play or is not available. I've been really busy lately, but hope to think about it more in a month or two.
